As one of the largest trading businesses in the apparel industry, the
company has expanded its international presence through a series of acquisitions
in the recent past. The Group functions as a supply chain manager, distributing
orders for its retail clients as well as its own retail stores across the thousands
of vendors it contracts with around the globe. Technology solutions play a vital
role in managing the flow of information through its supply chain, streamlining
operations seamlessly among its many offices.

The Challenge:

The company was looking to consolidate and harmonize key business processes across its portfolio businesses on a single SAP Apparel & Footwear Solution. To do so, the company had to overcome the following challenges:

  • Alleviate the demands placed on its IT staff and free-up valuable resources to focus on core business functions
  • Eliminate the need for dedicated, in-house SAP resources
  • The need for scalable resources based on the business needs
  • The need to reduce IT and administrative costs
  • Lack of adherence to industry best practices to ensure standardization in processes
  • Development of a reliable and predictable ongoing support structure was needed

Key Objectives

Knowledge transfer between the Project Team and the Managed Services Team was seamlessly enabled through on-site training, in order to provide speedy resolution to issues. This in turn, helped the Managed Services team to provide the same knowledge to the offshore team, establishing a consistent level of understanding regarding the client’s business processes among all those involved. Together with the client, attune worked on several key areas:
  • Setting up a strong program governance structure with risk management and compliance procedures
  • Supporting all functional modules and integration
  • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for multiple areas
  • Execution of complex change requests and break-fixes

  • Enabled the rapid SAP rollout across 14 countries while ensuring post-go-live support was provided by the offshore managed services team
