SAP CAR

SAP Customer Activity Repository collects transactional data that was previously spread over multiple siloed applications in diverse formats.

It consolidates customer, sales and inventory data in real-time for a comprehensive and more accurate analysis, and provides a common foundation and a harmonized multichannel transaction data model, thereby enabling companies to deliver seamless omnichannel services and shopping experiences for their customers.

attune has implemented SAP CAR for many of their customers. Read how we helped Brooks Brothers implement SAP Customer Activity Repository (SAP CAR) by accessing the SAP CAR Fashion Case Study here.

SAP AFS

The SAP Apparel and Footwear Solution (SAP AFS) is a comprehensive industry solution that was developed to meet the unique needs of apparel and footwear companies. It was released in 1996 for brands and manufacturers.

To help ease the transition from SAP AFS to S/4HANA Fashion, the attune team was involved in the development of a Migration Cockpit.

And for accounts not ready to make the move yet, attune has identified several key initiatives that can help ensure an AFS system is capable of meeting changing business requirements and remains efficient.

SAP S/4HANA Single Tenant Edition (STE)

A cloud offering from SAP where the application is provisioned to a single-customer in a dedicated landscape. STE offers the full scope of S/4HANA and the same functionality as an on premise deployment due to identical code lines. The first-ever Single Tenant Edition deployment of SAP S/4HANA for Fashion and Vertical Business was delivered by attune for one of their clients.

Advanced Available-to-Promise (aATP)

A functionality directly embedded within SAP S/4HANA Fashion, designed to streamline order fulfillment, improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability. It provides a response to order fulfillment inquiries in Sales and Production Planning, which consist of required materials and plants, as well as their respective requested quantities and dates.

The result of the ATP check is based on the current stock situation and any future, anticipated or planned stock receipts and takes concurrent orders into account. Furthermore, additional restrictions based on any other order attributes (like region or customers) can be applied. The ATP function generates confirmation proposals for the requested material and plant, including confirmed quantities and dates.

Stock Protection via Product Allocation on Advanced ATP

Fashion companies and vertical businesses often sell through a multitude of channels. However, not all the orders are placed at the same time. Important customers may place orders late, therefore it is important to protect stock for them. SAP S/4HANA Fashion and Vertical Business offers a powerful and integrated stock protection mechanism to ensure that fashion companies do not run the risk of losing their most valuable customers.

Stock Protection works by prioritizing demand plans during the sales cycle. Unforeseen issues, such as increased demand, can lead to critical situations in order processing, which ideally should be prevented before they arise. In such cases, fashion companies must prioritize customers, channels, or markets, to ensure that the most important customers are served first. Stock protection helps companies achieve this goal by protecting inventory for high priority demand even if important sales orders are received late and low priority orders precede them.

Back Order Processing (BOP)

Checks stock availability when the demand or supply situation in the order fulfillment process has changed and reconfirms if previously calculated confirmations for sales orders or stock transport orders are still realistic. BOP is done using five different predefined confirmation strategies (business rules) to minimize losses due to inventory stock-outs, protect customer interests and ensure strategic customers always get served.

Omnichannel Promotion Pricing (OPP)

Retail-specific functionality for correct and consistent pricing across all sales channels and for the introduction of new promotion types with low implementation effort. It focuses on B2C requirements by, for example, supporting mix-and-match promotions such as "buy product A and B and get a 50 % discount on product C".

Pack Separately – Ship Together (PSST)

Addresses challenges in managing the significant number of sales order items in order to fulfil customers’ “ship together” requirements. This functionality allows companies to identify order items from one or more locations that need to be shipped together as a complete collection, based on customer rules.

SAP EWM

SAP Extended Warehouse Management is part of SAP’s Supply Chain Management Suite of solutions and is an integrated software platform for flexible, automated support for processing goods movements and for managing inventory in the warehouse. Basic SAP EWM warehousing functions are included in the SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Management license. Advanced functions will require the classic SAP EWM engine license.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

RPA uses a software bots to run application software in the exact same way that a person works, with the aim of replacing repetitive tasks with a virtual workforce. This way, your employees could focus on more important activities, and your organization benefits from the greater precision, speed, and accuracy that automation can deliver.

Store Fulfillment

Historically, if a customer placed an order for a product not in stock, the order would be cancelled or placed on hold until the item was restocked. However, when SAP S/4HANA Fashion is connected to your POS and e-commerce system, if an order for an out-of-stock product is placed, then inventory visibility allows to still fulfil that order from another location where the item is in stock, including inventory held in other channels.

This functionality can be utilized across all sales channels. In doing so, fashion retailers can maintain adequate in-stock quantities while eliminating duplicate safety stock, which legacy systems held separately in each inventory pool that often resulted in excess safety stock.

For example, a customer in a brick-and-mortar store wishes to purchase a pair of boots but the store doesn’t have her size. Then via an in-store kiosk or POS, the sales associate is able to fulfil the demand with the right size in stock by routing the order to be fulfilled from the warehouse or a nearby store.

Demand and Supply Segmentation

A retailer’s ability to fulfill e-commerce orders in brick-and-mortar store locations. Services like ship-from-store and buy-online-pick-up-in-store are powerful value adds for fashion retailers. Major retailers have already begun setting up their stores as fulfillment centers and by adopting ship-from-store, have propelled the delivery mechanism and are reaping larger margins on stock that sit idle in stores.

With SAP Customer Activity Repository on SAP S/4HANA Fashion, business rules make sure orders are executed according to the priorities set by the retailer. In the case of click and collect on SAP S/4HANA for Fashion, fashion companies can extend real-time inventory availability to customers. For instance, customers checking a fashion retailer’s website can determine the store availability online and opt for "click and collect" service by choosing their preferred store.
